Jose Mourinho Wins His First Three Games As Tottenham Manager.

kudos to Dele Alli ’s double on Saturday.

Jose Mourinho had won his first three games as a Tottenham manager. Spurs have conceded twice in every match and their defensive deficiencies were clear to see again early on as Bournemouth cut through the hosts ’ midfield with ease. Mourinho’s perfect start stretched to three games as Spurs saw off Bournemouth 3 - 2  and kudos to Dele Alli ’s double on Saturday.

The Portuguese coach made recovering Alli ’ s form of old one of his top priorities when taking over from Mauricio Pochettino last week and it is already paying dividends as the England international has now scored three times in three games under Mourinho .

Moussa Sissoko scored his first goal for over two years in emphatic fashion on the volley from Son Heung - min ’ s cross to make it 3- 0 before two goals from substitute Harry Wilson gave Bournemouth late hope of a dramatic comeback.

Spurs first back - to - back league wins of the season moves last season ’s Champions League finalists up to fifth and to within six points of the top four after Chelsea and Manchester City slipped up against West Ham and Newcastle respectively on Saturday.

Paulo Gazzaniga spilled Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld’s driven shot with a save that did not inspire confidence in Hugo Lloris ’ s stand - in and the Argentine also failed to hold Diego Rico ’s long -range effort moments later .

However, Mourinho ’s risk in exposing his midfield with Alli playing so high just behind Harry Kane has also reaped plenty of reward in his first two weeks in charge . The two combined to send Son scampering clear on goal with a rapid counter - attack, but the South Korean dragged his shot just wide .

Son was more accurate with his next involvement as he was picked out perfectly by Toby Alderweireld’ s pass in behind the Bournemouth defence and his cushioned touch left Alli with the simple task of tapping home his first goal of the match.

Spurs then clicked into gear as Kane ’s fiercely struck near- post shot was parried by Aaron Ramsdale, before Davinson Sanchez fired home only to be penalised for handling the ball as he controlled Sissoko ’s shot .

Tottenham struck the knockout blow five minutes into the second half when another pinpoint long ball from Alderweireld was cushioned by Alli on his chest before he sat Ramsdale down and dinked the ball over the advancing goalkeeper.

That was Alli ’s fifth goal in his last nine games after a 21- match streak between January and October without one for club and country. And he should have had a hat - trick before the hour mark as Serge Aurier ’s cross found its way through to him unmarked at the back post , but this time Alli ’s curling finish was too high .

Spurs’ third was the pick of the bunch as Son burst down the left and picked out Sissoko in the middle for the Frenchman to smash on the volley back across Ramsdale into the far corner.

A first clean sheet of his reign would have rounded off a perfect day for Mourinho , but the Spurs defence was breached 17 minutes from time when set- piece specialist Wilson curled in a brilliant free - kick .

Wilson struck again deep into stoppage time to set up a grandstand finish and Jan Vertonghen needed to make a last - ditch challenge to deny Callum Wilson an equaliser with the final attack of the game.

Mourinho Tottenham’s First Away Win In The Premier Since January

Mourinho Tottenham’s First Away Win In The Premier Since January

Jose Mourinho Tottenham’s first away win in the Premier since the month of January in his first game in charge with a 3- 2 win at West Ham to  shift Spurs up to sixth position. Son Heung - min , Lucas Moura and Harry Kane got the goals as Jose Mourinho made an instant impact after replacing the sacked Mauricio Pochettino on Wednesday.

Mourinho followed Pochettino ’s example in leaving out Christan Eriksen with the Dane one of a number of Spurs players into the final months of his contract and showing no signs of agreeing a new deal.“ We have to make the right decision for the club,” Mourinho said on Eriksen’ s future before kick - off , but his decision to field a front four of Dele Alli with Son , Moura and Kane worked.

Kane had smashed the ball past beleaguered West Ham goalkeeper Roberto after just three minutes from Alli ’ s pass but was denied by the offside flag .

An injury to first- choice stopper Lukasz Fabianski has coincided with a run of eight games without a win for West Ham with a string of errors from Roberto spreading a lack of confidence throughout the team .

The Spaniard could have done better when Tottenham did open the scoring nine minutes before half- time when another through ball from Alli found Son , whose shot had too much power for the hapless ‘keeper

A much - needed three points will help to endear Mourinho to a sceptical Spurs support who were sad to see Pochettino ’s five- and- a - half year spell in charge of the club end just six months after leading the club to a first- ever Champions League final.

There was no love lost between Mourinho ’s Chelsea sides and Tottenham in the past , but his arrival had the desired impact for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, even if a West Ham team devoid of confidence made for perfect opponents.

However, Roberto was blameless for Spurs ’ second seven minutes later when a lovely flick from Alli sent Son racing down the left and his inch- perfect cross was met by Moura at the back post .

The same two players should have combined for the visitors ’ third just two minutes into the second half when Son sent Moura clean through on goal , but the Brazilian dragged his shot wide to the despair of Mourinho , who sank to his knees on the touchline.

Tottenham’s celebrations were only put on hold for another two minutes as Serge Aurier ’s cross picked out Kane to head home and become the third highest goalscorer in Spurs ’ history with 175 .

The England captain was furious at himself for not adding another on the hour mark as he dallied with just Roberto to beat and was dispossessed by a last - ditch challenge from Issa Diop .

Michail Antonio pulled a goal back for the hosts 17 minutes from time, but by the time Angelo Ogbonna scored West Ham ’s second six minutes into stoppage time it was too little , too late .

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini now waits to see if he faces a similar fate to Pochettino .

The Hammers were expected to challenge for European qualification in the Chilean’ s second season but instead are 16th and in danger of falling even closer towards the relegation zone by the end of the weekend.

Deal Offer to Zlatan Ibrahimovic by AC Millian

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been offered a 6-month deal to come to the assistance of the previous Italian giants AC Milan. Ibrahimovic played for two seasons between 2010 and 2012 with AC Milan, helping them to their last Serie A title , and scoring 42 goals in 61 league appearances.

He also won three league titles with Inter Milan , and two with Juventus, which were both revoked following the ‘ Calciopoli’ match - fixing scandal

The 38- year - old striker confirmed his departure from Los Angeles Galaxy last week following the club’s elimination from the Major League Soccer playoffs.

Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sports Italia reported that the former seven - time European champions have now made contact with the player’s agent Mino Raiola .

The US - owned club wants the former Swedish international for six months and is prepared to pay him six million euros if he remains for 18 months in total, Gazzetta claimed.

Milan finished fifth last season, missing out on a return to Champions League football by just a point to city rivals Inter .

They have had a poor start to this campaign and are 14th after 12 games before they host last year’s runners- up Napoli on Saturday in the San Siro .

Lionel Messi scored the rebound for his 69th international goal. Messi had a penalty saved by Alisson in the friendly. He scored on his first Argentina appearance since July as they beat old rivals Brazil in Saudi Arabia

Meanwhile the Barcelona forward Lionel Messi was returning from a three-month ban for saying the Copa America was "fixed for Brazil", with the hosts beating Argentina in the semi-final and Peru in the July final.

More over, Gabriel Jesus had earlier missed a penalty for Brazil. Brazil - who handed a late debut to Aston Villa striker Wesley - have failed to win in the five games since winning the Copa America.

Morato Hits His Sixth Goal

Alvaro Morata has made his sixth goal.

Alvaro Morata has made his sixth goal. He scored his sixth goal in as many games in all competitions as Atletico Madrid moved third in La Liga with a 3 - 1 win over struggling Espanyol on Sunday.

Meanwhile, he thumped home his fifth league goal of the season just before the hour mark to put Atletico in front in Madrid after Sergi Darder had shocked the Wanda Metropolitano with fine opener seven minutes before the break.

Diego Simeone’s side stays just a point behind Barcelona and Real Madrid, easy winners over Eibar and Celta Vigo respectively on Saturday , but move above Real Sociedad , who drew 1- 1 with Leganes on Friday .

Espanyol meanwhile stays second - from - bottom after their third league defeat on the bounce, adding to a dismal domestic run that has seen them win just once since mid - September .

UEFA’s ruling body Wants to Examine Turkey Footballers Military Salute in their Euro 2020 qualifier

UEFA’s ruling body Wants to Examine Turkey Footballers Military Salute in their Euro 2020 qualifier

The UEFA’s ruling body said that they will “ examine” reports that Turkey footballers performed a military salute in their Euro 2020 qualifier against Albania to mark their country ’s widely - condemned armed offensive against Kurds in Syria.

“Personally, I have not seen this gesture, which could be considered a provocation,” UEFA’ s press chief Philip Townsend uttered.“ Does the regulation prohibit references to politics and religion? Yes , and I can guarantee you that we will look at this situation.”

The salute was made after Cenk Tosun’ s winning goal for Turkey in the game in Istanbul on Friday. In Turkey , it is common for celebrities, including footballers, to show their support for the security forces after attacks or during military operations . The Turkish offensive began on Wednesday after US President Donald Trump ordered American troops to pull back from the border area of north -east Syria .

After the match , a photo was also posted on the official Twitter account of the national team . In it , the players are seen making a military salute with the tweet indicating the players “ have dedicated their victory to our brave soldiers and fellow martyrs”.

Meanwhile, at the world gymnastics championships in Stuttgart, Turkey’ s Ibrahim Colak made a military- style salute on the podium after winning gold in the men ’s rings event. It was not known if the gesture was linked to the military campaign .

Coleman Storms To Victory In The 100m At The World Championships

Christian Coleman fastest athletes

Christian Coleman stormed to victory in the 100 metres at the World Championships in Doha on Saturday. The defending champion Justin Gatlin took silver in 9. 89sec at the age of 37 while Canada ’s Andre De Grasse claimed bronze in 9 .90sec .

Coleman , who has previously criticised USADA for bringing the case against him , again protested his innocence following Saturday’ s win.

“ I did nothing wrong ,” Coleman said. “ To me , I’m just a young black man living my dream. “ It’s kind of disappointing that someone would leak that information to try and smear my reputation. I just keep doing me and representing the sport the right way. Emphatically shrugging off the missed drug test controversy which had threatened to derail his career.

However, the United States Anti - Doping Agency (USADA) abruptly withdrew the charges on September 2 after a review of the rules regarding how the 12- month window should be calculated.

The 23- year - old American , who escaped a doping ban earlier this month on a technicality, swept over the finish line in a world - leading personal best of 9.76sec to claim his first major outdoor championship gold medal. It completed a flawless championship campaign for Coleman , who had been the only man to duck under 10 seconds in both Friday ’s opening rounds and Saturday’ s semi - finals .

Coleman ’s win in perfect conditions at the Khalifa Stadium was never in doubt , the stocky 2017 World Championships silver medallist exploding out of the blocks to take the lead over the opening 20 metres

The American let out a roar of triumph as he crossed the line before punching the air in jubilation after a performance which makes him the sixth fastest man in history. “ I am humble , I am just here to win titles ,” an elated Coleman said afterwards. “ It is an incredible time, it is a PR for me . I think the sky’ s the limit , I think I still have a lot of things I can work on and improve , I think I can keep dropping my time,” added the 60m indoor world record holder .

The victory was the culmination of a rollercoaster season for Coleman , whose participation in the championships had been in doubt until only three weeks ago. Coleman , who has strongly denied ever using performance- enhancing drugs , was left facing a lengthy suspension in August after it emerged he had registered three drug - testing “ whereabouts ” failures in a 12- month period. The violation is regarded as equivalent to a failed drug test and often followed by a ban of up to two years.

Yet Coleman avoided a sanction when the case against him was dropped in early September because of a technicality. Coleman had recorded his first whereabouts failure on June 6 last year , before two more offences in January 16 and April 26 this year.

However, the United States Anti - Doping Agency (USADA) abruptly withdrew the charges on September 2 after a review of the rules regarding how the 12- month window should be calculated. Like I said, I didn’ t do anything wrong. ”Coleman ’s win on Saturday leaves him as the man to beat heading into 2020 and the Tokyo Olympics , where he aims to claim the now retired Usain Bolt ’s throne .

Coleman , however , played down suggestions that he was ready to fill the void left by triple Olympic 100m and 200m champion Bolt ’s departure from athletics. “ I don ’t think anyone will be able to replicate what he (Bolt ) did in the sport ,” Coleman said. “ All you can try and do is be the best that you can be , not try to be like him . He ’ s always going to be a part of the sport .“ But if I continue working hard , honing my craft and being the best I can , I definitely think I can win gold medals .”

Gianluigi Buffon Returns To The Juventus After Spending A Season In Paris Saint - Germain

Italian goalkeeping legend Gianluigi Buffon returned to the Juventus goal after spending a season in Paris Saint - Germain to match Paolo Maldini ’s Italian record of 902 club matches. Buffon ’s appearances have been spread across three clubs — Parma , Juventus and PSG — with Maldini having spent his entire career with Serie A rivals Milan .

The 41- year - old — who played his last game for Juventus also against Verona in May 2018 — could not keep a clean sheet and was beaten by Veloso after 21 minutes.

Aaron Ramsey ’s first Juventus goal on his maiden start and Cristiano Ronaldo ’s spot - kick winner saw the Italian champions seal a comeback 2- 1 win over Verona on Saturday that put them top of Serie A ahead of the Milan derby.

Amid confusion in front of the Juve goal after Simone Di Carmine missed a Verona penalty , and Darko Lazovic ’s rebound rattled the bar , Veloso pounced to rifle a long range strike past Buffon. But Ramsey got the champions back on level terms 10 minutes later on his full debut after coming on late against Atletico , with a deflected effort past Verona goalkeeper Marco Silvestri .

Ronaldo put Juventus ahead from the spot with just his second goal this season three minutes after the restart, having missed two chances before the break .

Welsh international Ramsey pulled Juventus level in the 31st minute in Turin in reply to Miguel Veloso’s early Verona goal, with a well - taken Ronaldo penalty ensuring all three points for the hosts just after the break .

It got Maurizio Sarri’ s side back to winning ways after last weekend’s Serie A stalemate at Fiorentina and a 2 - 2 Champions League draw at Atletico Madrid midweek .

“ After the Champions League the team was tired, but the important thing was to win. Let ’ s take these three points and go ahead, ” said Ronaldo .

Sarri’s side move one point ahead of Inter Milan at the top of the table before Antonio Conte ’s side play city rivals AC Milan later on Saturday.

Verona kept pushing with Buffon denying Mattia Zaccagni and Lazovic in front of goal after 89 minutes and Veloso denied a brace by the post .

Juve held on to take the three points with a Ronaldo free - kick hitting the opposition’ s wall in the last chance of the game after Verona defender Marash Kumbulla was sent off for a second yellow card .

“ This is a team under construction ,” said Sarri, who took over from Massimiliano Allegri ahead of this season.“ The defensive line obviously needs to improve.”Verona are 12th with four points from as many games.Carlo Ancelotti’ s Napoli travel south to promoted Lecce on Sunday after seeing off European champions Liverpool 2 - 0 on Tuesday .

Lampard Endured A Difficult Start On His Return To Stamford Bridge As Manager

Frank Lampard has endured a difficult start on his return to Stamford Bridge as manager, but he enjoyed his finest day so far in charge of the Blues with his faith in youth again fully vindicated. Fikayo Tomori, 21, fired the visitors in front at Molineux with his first goal for the club before Abraham took over to take his tally to seven in his last three games with three brilliant finishes from close range. Abraham’s busy afternoon was not over as he then turned into his own net and Patrick Cutrone cut Wolves’ deficit to two before Mason Mount rounded off the scoring for Chelsea late on.

Liverpool recovered from a shock Newcastle opener to open up a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a 3-1 win at Anfield, as Tottenham and Chelsea bounced back to form with big wins on Saturday. Tammy Abraham’s sensational form continued as the English forward scored a hat-trick as Chelsea romped to a 5-2 win at Wolves. Spurs were 4-0 up by half-time against Crystal Palace to record just their second win of the season as Son Heung-min scored twice, while Erik Lamela and an own goal from Patrick van Aanholt rounded off the scoring on a miserable day for the Eagles.

An injury-hit Manchester United coped without Paul Pogba to inflict Leicester’s first defeat of the season as Marcus Rashford scored the only goal from the penalty spot in a 1-0 win at Old Trafford. United join Tottenham and Chelsea on eight points from five games, but Liverpool protected the only 100 percent record in the league by reacting to a slow start in style.

Manchester City can close the gap at the top to two points with victory later on Saturday at Norwich. Jetro Willems fired Newcastle in front on seven minutes to leave the European champions trailing at Anfield for the first time since March. However, any lasting rift between Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah from Liverpool’s last outing away to Burnley -- when Mane was upset at the Egyptian for his greediness in front of goal -- was forgotten as they combined to score all three goals for the hosts.

Mane fired into the top corner to start the revival, but it was the introduction of Roberto Firmino off the bench for the injured Divock Origi that truly turned the tide in Liverpool’s favour.

The Brazilian’s through ball was spilled by Martin Dubravka to allow Mane a simple task for his second just before half-time, and another brilliant Firmino flick teed up Salah to seal the points 18 minutes from time.

“I started enjoying after 25 minutes, around about when we arrived finally in the game,” said Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

“Second half we scored only one goal, but we played really good football and I liked it a lot. There were a few moments I enjoyed, not a lot but a few and enough to be the deserved winner today.”

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino hoped that the end of the European transfer window would settle his squad and the Champions League finalists looked more like their old selves by tearing apart Palace from the off. Son was the star of the show as the South Korean opened the scoring then finished off a fine team move by volleying home Serge Aurier’s cross after Van
Aanholt deflected a cross into his own net.

Harry Kane was unable to build on his goalscoring form for England, but did play a part in the fourth as his cross was turned home by Lamela. United had to suffer far more for just a second win in 10 league matches at home to the Foxes as Rashford shrugged off his recent miss from the spot against Palace to convert a penalty on eight minutes after he had been brought down by Caglar Soyuncu. Brighton edged out Burnley 1-0 at the Amex thanks to Neil Maupay’s winner early in the second-half. Southampton were also 1-0 victors at Sheffield United courtesy of a brilliant strike from Moussa Djenepo.

Cristiano Ronaldo Scores His 93rd International Goal for Portugal

Top international goal scorer - Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 93rd international goals for Portugal to defeat Lithuania in Euro 2020 qualifying.

Ronaldo's 20-yard shot went in off the head of Lithuania goalkeeper Ernestas Setkus and he scored two more from Bernardo Silva passes, before William Carvalho's injury-time fifth.

Making him 16 behind Iran legend Ali Daei's world record. He scored an early penalty, before Vytautas Andriuskevicius equalised.

Serbia moved up into third place in the group with a 3-1 win at Luxembourg, with Aleksandar Mitrovic scoring twice.

The result keeps Portugal in an automatic qualifying place, five points behind Group B leaders Ukraine. It was an eighth international hat-trick for 34-year-old Ronaldo, who also scored four against Andorra in 2016.

Watford FC Declares Sanchez As The Club ’s New Head Coach

The new head of coach of Watford Fc Sanchez

Watford Football Club has declared the appointment of Quique Sanchez Flores as the club ’s new Head Coach, the club said in a statement. After Javi Gracia was sacked just four games into the season , the Premier League team announced on Saturday. Sanchez has returned to the Watford bench as the new head coach.

Dumped Gracia meanwhile had been a popular figure at Vicarage Road — guiding the club to 11th in the Premier League and a first FA Cup final for 35 years last season .

However, his team were blown away 6- 0 by Manchester City at the Wembley final, and the 32-year- old has paid the price for picking up just one point from the first four league games of the new campaign.
