DEMBELE FOUND SPACE IN THE BOX IN THE LAST MINUTE

It was not to be as Dembele found space in the box in the last minute to beat Jan Oblak with a low shot that evaded a desperate effort by Lucas Hernandez to clear the ball off the line. Ousmane Dembele came off the bench to snatch Barcelona a 1-1 draw away to Atletico Madrid in Saturday's top-of-the-table clash in LaLiga.

Diego Costa's first top-flight goal this season looked set to give Diego Simeone his maiden league victory against Barcelona in seven years as Atletico's head coach, which would have taken them to the summit.

A draw maintains the status quo at the top of LaLiga with Barca a point clear of Atletico having successfully avoided suffering back-to-back league losses for the first time under Ernesto Valverde.

Brilliant Spurs Hammer Chelsea
Son Heung-min was a menace to a ramshackle Chelsea defence throughout and brought up his 50th goal in Tottenham colours with a sublime 54th-minute solo effort.

Olivier Giroud's late header from Cesar Azpilicueta's cross could not stop Mauricio Pochettino's men leapfrogging Chelsea to go third in the Premier League, five points shy of leaders Manchester City on 30 points.

Tottenham left Maurizio Sarri's unbeaten record as Chelsea boss in tatters as they stormed to a 3-1 derby win at Wembley. Dele Alli's sixth goal in this fixture got Spurs off to a flyer and Harry Kane made it 2-0 in the 16th minute.

The Five-time Ballon D'or Winner Beat Spal Goalkeeper
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner beat SPAL goalkeeper Alfred Gomis from six yards in the 28th minute at the Allianz Stadium – his ninth league strike for the Bianconeri.

Cristiano Ronaldo made it six goals in as many Serie A games on Saturday as Juventus beat SPAL 2-0 to move nine points clear at the top of the table.

Douglas Costa – one of six changes for Juve – impressed throughout for the league leaders, creating numerous openings that the hosts, including Ronaldo, were unable to convert.

Mario Mandzukic finally doubled Juve's advantage on the hour, the Croatia international sealing all three points with a simple tap-in after Costa's shot had stung the palms of Gomis.

Paris St-Germain warmed up for their game against Liverpool by beating Toulouse to extend their record-breaking start to the Ligue 1 season. The French champions have won all 14 league games, a record at the start of one of Europe's top five leagues.

Edinson Cavani scored the only goal early on with an exquisite flick past a defender and volley.

Reds' Uneven League Form Continued Unabated On Saturday
The Reds' uneven league form continued unabated on Saturday as they failed to break down the determined Eagles at Old Trafford.

United dominated possession but could not find a way past Wayne Hennessey, with the home crowd reacting with sporadic jeers at the final whistle. And Mourinho questioned his men's will to win as he tried to explain this latest slip.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho suggested that his players lacked the heart to take three points from the weekend's Premier League fixture after being held 0-0 by Crystal Palace.

"A bad result, no chance to see it as one point we win because there are two points we lost. Crystal Palace deserve the credit. They came for this and they got it and fought for it and gave everything for it," the manager said.  "We used the sides very well and made them move to one sides and then go to the other but there was not enough intensity, not enough desire.

"It is a game we really need to win. If we play with the same philosophy against Young Boys then we won’t win and have to go to Valencia and win there. There are games that are special and not just one more: this was a special game, the first of eight Premier League games until the end of December and a game we need to win and it was not enough from the heart. "You must play with brain and also with heart and I think there was not enough heart."

Thierry Henry Finally Has A  First Win On His Managerial Record
The fortunes of the French side changed little with Henry calling the shots. The club lost four and drew two of his first six matches in charge before finally picking up a win on Saturday. His time has seen the club knocked out of the Champions League and, even after Saturday's win, they sit two points back of safety in Ligue 1.

The Arsenal, Barcelona and France legend replaced the sacked Leonardo Jardim six weeks ago with the club third from bottom, following his time as an assistant for Belgium.

A Radamel Falcao goal 54 minutes in was all Monaco needed to claim a 1-0 win over Caen in Ligue 1 play on Saturday, handing Henry his first victory as manager of the French side in seven matches at the helm.
