FOUR HYMNS FOR TODAY

[1] HOW AMIABLE ARE THY TERBANACLE O LORD HOST
Ps. 84:1

1. Great shepherd of thy people hear
Thy presence now display,
As Thou hast giv'n a place for pray'r
So give us hearts to pray.

2. Show us some token of thy love
Our fainting hope to raise,
And pour thy blessing from above
That we may render praise.

3. Within this walls let holy peace
And love and concord dwell,
Here give the trouble conscience
ease
The wounded spirits heal

4. The hearing ear, the seeing eye,
The contrite heart bestow:
And shine upon us from on high
That we in grace may grow.

5. May we in faith receive Thy word,
In faith address our pray'rs,
And in the presence of our Lord
Unburden all our cares.
Amen.

[2] ANGEL VOICES
1.Angel, voices, ever singing
Round Thy throne of light,
Angel harps, for ever ringing,
Rest not day nor night;
Thousands only live to bless Thee,
And confess thee Lord of might.

2. Thou who art beyond the farthest
Mortal eys can scan,
Can it be that thou regardest
Songs of sinful man?
Can we know that Thou art near us
And wilt hear us? Yea, we can.

3. In Thy house, great God, we offer
Of Thine own to Thee,
And for Thine acceptance proffer,
All unworthy
Hearts, and minds, and hands and voices
In our choicest Psalmody.

4.Honour, glory, might and merit
Thine shall ever be,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
Blessed Trinity,
Of the best that Thou has given
Earth and heaven render Thee.
Amen.

[3] GLORY!  HALLELUJAH
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.
He is trampling out the vintage
Where the grapes of wrath are stored.
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of
His terrible swift sword.
His truth is marching on.

Glory! Glory halleluyah,
Glory! Glory halleluyah
Glory! Glory halleluyah,
Our God is marching on.

2. I have seen Him the watch fires of a hundred circling camps,
They have builded Him on altar in the evening dews and damps
I can read His righteous and sentence
By the dim and flaring lamps
His day is marching on.

3. In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea.
With a glory in His bossom that transfigure you and me.
As he died to make men Holy, et us live to make men free.
While God is marching on.
Amen.

[4] HE LIVES ON HIGH OH LORD, I GIVE MYLIFE TO YOU
1.Christ the Saviour came from
Heaven's glory
To redeem the lost from sin and stain
On His brow He wore the thorn of gory
And upon Calvary He took my blames.

He lives on high, He lives on high
Triumphant over sin and stain
He lives on high, He lives on high
Someday He's coming again

2. He rose from death and all its sorrow
To dwell in the land of joy and love
He is coming back some glad
Tomorrow
And He'll take all His children
Home above

3. Weary soul to Jesus come
Confessing
The redemption He offer thee
Look to Jesus and receive the blessing
There is life, there is joy and victory.
Amen.
