Read: Exodus 14:10-15

MEMORISE And the Lord said to Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward." (Exodus 14:15).

Prayer is good. It is the sure way to communicate with God. In fact, it is one of the important principles for the Kingdom living (Luke 18:1).Nevertheless, there must be time for prayer and time for taking actions. When it is time to take actions, after you have prayed, with the conviction of God's Spirit, that the prayers have been answered, over a particular point or situation, you have to take action, in line with God's timing.

No sooner had the children of Israel left Egypt than Pharaoh and his army followed them. When these people reached the Red Sea and they knew that the army of Pharaoh was about to overrun them, they cried out to the Lord (v. 10). They began to bombard Moses, their God-chosen leader, with violent questions, for taking them out of the land of Egypt. Moses had to join his people to cry to God in rigorous prayer. Since everything rises and falls on leadership, God told Moses to stop praying and take quick action. It is like telling him that the situation on ground demanded concrete steps sequential to their prayers.

The same thing is the experience of many Christians today. They have prayed enough on some specific situations. God is expecting them to take some steps in the right direction, but they seem not to be hearing Him or they choose to ignore His directives.

Have you been praying to God to bless you? Do not stay idle. Find something to do. God does not bless an empty hand. It is the work of your hand He blesses, no matter how small it is (cf. Gen. 26:12). Are you praying for a lucrative job, do not just stay indoors. Make yourself available at the relevant quarters in search of your dream job. No matter what you have been praying over, when you sense the Holy Spirit saying it is right time to take action, do not hesitate. Any right action you take at a wrong time, is itself wrong (Eccl. 3:1).

1. Increase my faith, oh Lord, to take the right actions at the right times, always.
2. In the name of Jesus, I stand against the forces that make me to experience setback in life.
3. We pray and take authority over the spirit of retrogression attacking some churches in the land, in Jesus' name.
